On the road to net zero with Jaga Brothers
Take a look at how major distribution company, Jaga Brother Transport Ltd, have taken their first leap into becoming a greener, more energy efficient company with the help of Tewdric Energy
Jaga Brothers Transport Ltd, a general haulage company, have been delivering materials all over the UK using their 45 trucks and 130 trailers since 2006.
Wanting to take the first step into renewable energy and helping the environment, Jaga Brothers contacted us here at Tewdric Energy to see how we could help. Ater a consultation and a site visit, we put a plan together to install Solar panels on their office roof and a battery storage system that would help generate as well as time shift electricity to power their premises. Installing the 28kW system meant that Jaga Brothers could have a fixed energy cost for around 25 years. Along with the optimised Solar system the Tewdric EMOS provides a huge financial benefit.
To maximise return on investment Tewdric offers a unique Energy Management and Optimisation Service (EMOS) which is able to monitor performance and automatically adjust systems remotely. This ensures the systems are operating at peak performance, faults identified and rectified quickly, firmware updates applied promptly and that energy generation is matched as perfectly as possible to consumption. Where there is excess energy produced we ensure that the maximum return is achieved even where this excess exceeds the National Grid thresholds for export. The Jaga Brothers installation is part of a wider Smart Local Energy System being built in the area.
The Tewdric EMOS as part of the renewable system can reduce return on investment by months if not years while increasing the climate benefits.
Phelps said we are pleased with our partnership with Jaga Brothers which is a successful business, improving its efficiency, reducing costs and starting their ‘Green’ journey with us. We are particularly pleased that Jaga has selected our Tewdric Energy EMOS to maximise the benefits to Jaga over the life of the system.
